Hiking operation in the Fuschlsee region

Hiking guide, find the right path!

Hiking yes, but where?

Many paths lead to the same goal, as the saying goes, but which one suits me best?

We would be happy to help you choose the right route and help you prepare.

Here in the Faistenau from the Pension Schierl there are many beautiful viewpoints or places of power that can be easily reached. Many of them, starting on the doorstep.

Some hiking ideas in the Fuschlsee region.

Easy hikes

A route that is also very popular with children. From the end of the Tiefbrunnau about ½ to ¾ hours to the Bartlhütte. From there, St. Gilgen and Lake Wolfgang are at your feet.

The Eibensee

Immediately after Fuschl we set off in the direction of Eibensee. The gentle ascent is particularly suitable for prams or walking on your own. After 4.5 km the destination is reached. Don't forget your swimming trunks in summer.

Moderate hikes

The Almkogel

The ascent to the Alkogel begins between St. Gilgen and Mondsee. After about 1-1.5 hours you have reached your destination.

For experienced hikers

Experience the Zwölferhorn in a different way

The starting point of the 3-hour, approx. 12 km long hike is at the end of Tiefbrunnau. At the barrier, go right over the creek and after the first steep ascent along the forest road in the direction of the Mehlsack Alm. From there continue to Grad, keeping slightly to the left. 1.5 hours after the start, the mountains reveal themselves in all their glory. We continue in the direction of Pillsteinhöhe and the summit cross of the Zwölferhorn. You get a panoramic view from the Zwölferhorn

The Sparber

The Sparber is ideal for more experienced hikers who can walk a few meters over the ladder. You can get an all-round view here. After overcoming approx. 9 km and 900 meters in altitude, you arrive back at the starting point after the experience. Of the Gasthof Kleefeld spoiled with food and drink.
